"And look what happened. Tsk Tsk, top dueler and all.

I'd be much oblidged if you could have her back on her legs again before sunday... new quidditch match and all. Thanks."

Jenna turned on her heel and left the wing.

"Excuse me! Wait! Could you please tell me what happened to her exactly?" Cimber called on Jenna as she was about to exit the Hospital Wing.

(ooc: please fill up the trauma form found in the pinned topics and post it here. thank you.)

Hearing that one of his fellow Prefects had been injured, by a fellow student even, Lockore made his way to the Hospital Wing. He had come to like Sariss in their duels, and he didn't like the thought of her sitting there alone in the Hospital Wing. He walked in just in time to hear Cimber ask Jenna to fill out a trauma report form. "I'd gladly do that, at least, what I know anyway." Lockore grabbed a copy of the form.

"How is that?" Lockore asked, as he handed Cimber the form.

Cimber looked gratefully at Lockore and thanked him as he took back the form and set to work.

"Jelly Legs Jinx e? Another duelling spell." Cimber whipped out his wand and murmured, "Ennervate."

He then went over to the stockroom to get a soothing salve and some chocolate. He came back moments later and looked to see if Sariss was looking better now.

"Sariss, how do your legs feel?"

Posted by: Sariss Nov 7 2003, 12:48 AM
Sariss blinked slowly, the sudden light hurting her eyes and sending a stab of pain through her skull. How she hated fainting. It hadn't happened to her in a very long time.

"Ouch..." she moaned, blinking some more, her eyes slowly focusing on Cimber. "Hey..." Sariss said weakly.

"My legs? Um... They feel like... not like I could use them." She tried to move them and they only made a sickeningly wobbling noise. Sariss grimaced, disgusted, and cursed the inventor of the Jelly Legs Jinx.

Cimber shook his head at the quezzy sounding noise that Sariss' legs made.

"Well, I cast the disengaging charm on your legs. I just hope that it would wear off in a bit. Want some chocolate? It could quicken the healing process."

Posted by: Sariss Nov 7 2003, 01:05 AM
"Chocolate would be brilliant," Sariss said, attempting a small smile.

"Oh, hello, Lockore!" She grew aware of one of her fellow prefects. "How are you? What are you doing here?" she asked and then sighed. This wasn't a way to spend Christmas.

"How long have I been knocked out?" she asked and looked around, wishing that Seb were here. But he might not even have learnt about little trip to the Hospital Wing.

Seb ran in through the hospital wing doors, almost breaking them off the hinges. He was heavily out of breath, and he had tripped up a flight of stairs on the way too. Seb was getting ready for a new day of duelling, he had already taken off his cloak and threatened the next passer by to duel him. The only problem was…

“I thought you would be in the hospital wing…” The person had said. Seb blinked at him dumbly.

“Why?”

“Well, Sariss was duelling and, the other person got a little excited. I just remember Sariss being levitated to the hosp…” That was all Seb heard before he made a grab for his cloak and legged it out of the chamber.

His cloak was hanging off him, and his face red from lack of oxygen as he looked around the wing eyes unblinking, looking for Sariss. It seemed his eyes had decided not to work as he scanned bed after bed after bed. Seb didn’t even know what to expect. For all he knew, it could’ve just been something simple like a strained ankle from a force of a spell, but that didn’t put that horrible sickly panic feeling in his stomach at ease.

“For.. heavens sakes…” He gasped to himself as he once again looked around. Clutching a stitch in his side, he began to walk forward, checking each bed individually, until he found her.

He took a very deep breath, still clutching his stitch. “S..Sariss? Oh good lord, are you alright? Anything broken? Anything removed? Anything where it shouldn’t be? All in one piece? You’re being seen to? Shall I call someone?”

"Seb!" Sariss lightened up immediately. "Hey... No... Yes... Yes... No..." His questions were coming too fast for her to properly answer to them.

"I'm rather okay... well... considering the circumstances..." she trailed off, pointing at her legs. "Jelly Legs Jinx. Does exactly what the name implies... But..." She tried to move her legs. "I think I can actually move them a bit again without them to make this wobbling sort of noise."

She wrinkled her nose. It didn't sound as bad as before, true, but it would surely take some more time for her legs to be stable enough to be stood on again.

"Just had some chocolate too." She looked at Cimber. "Cimber said that it might speeden up the entire thing. What a way to spend Christmas, eh? And I thought a couple of Christmas duels already went against the Christmas spirit..."

Sariss patted the empty space on the bed to indicate for Seb to sit down.

Seb couldn’t hide the cringe that came over his face when Sariss moved her legs. It did sound quite bad, but if she said it was better than before, well Seb didn’t want to think about it. Gulping some air in, Seb sat down to where Sariss indicated.

“…Bloody scared me…” He muttered, “…Get told; don’t know what to expect… dangers of duelling…” Seb continued to mutter, “..And you can keep the chocolate away from me too. Oh. You’ve eat it already. Ok then.”

He let out a huff of breath as he moved his cloak back onto his shoulders properly. Well, that was his exercise for the day. If running across half of the school without getting caught wasn’t classed as exercise, Seb didn’t know what did. “…And look at me! Shaking like a hollow flobberworm in the wind, I am…!” He raised one hand up to show. Seb’s muttering eventually thinned out to incoherent mumbo jumbo before he regained his state of mind (not that it was stable to begin with).

After licking his lips, Seb looked up to Cimber, “Thanks mate.. So,” He shifted his gaze back to the bed ridden Sariss. “Spill. Who did it?”

It wasn’t like he really needed to ask. Apart from a Professor, there was only one, maybe two people who could do this, and Seb knew one wasn’t like that. Or so he hoped.

Lockore smiled. "I'm glad you're all right Sariss, and it looks like you've got plenty of company, so I'll leave you to your rest." Lockore turned and strode from the room, pausing long enough to make sure the doors were solid on their hinges. He couldn't help but smile and think of the numerous times he had knocked them clear off.

"Thank you, Lockore," Sariss said and then turned back to Seb.

"Jenna James." She found that her voice sounded unusually cold. Of course it would. She couldn't remember when she'd last been that angry.

Sariss couldn't believe that she had done this. Sure, Jenna's temper had always been rather nasty and Sariss had feared that she'd do this. But fearing it and expecting somebody to actually do it... those were two entirely different things.

She took Seb's shaking hand and gently held it in her own.

"I still can't believe that this happened..." she added. "I didn't really think she would... I mean... I knew she could... I just didn't think she would... and so shortly before a Quidditch game too... I just hope I'll be able to play properly..."

Nervously chewing on her lip, she threw another glance at her legs and moved them slightly. Ugh... Well... maybe it was a bit better. If she really concentrated, she thought she was able to move her toes properly.

*Madam Pomfrey grins at Miss Ravon glad that it was only a dueling accident and not another DE attack.

"Why Miss. Ravon I believe this is the first time I have seen you in here. You know dueling is a dangerous sport. You never know where your limbs can disapear to." She said grabbing a potion

"Why when I worked at Mungo's. Long before you were born. This one man came in missing two arms and his.. well I believe you understand. It took us three months to locate all of his limbs. We never did find his.. anyways he never dueled again. Rather sad because he really did enjoy it." *Madam Pomfrey said pouring some potion and handing it to Miss. Ravon.

"Now drink up and do becareful. I don't want to keep you in here longer then I need to." She then handed Miss. Ravon a piece of chocolate.

"If you feel anything and I say anything come back right away."

Sariss couldn't help but chuckle at the little anecdote that Poppy told her there. She smiled gratefully at the nurse. "Thank you, Madam Pomfrey," she said.

She let go of Seb's hand to grab the potion and gulped it down without a second thought. The longer she waited, the more terrible it would taste and the more conscious she would be of it.

"Yuck!" Sariss shuddered and grimaced.

As soon as the potion had run down her throat, however, a tingling feeling spread through her legs, not even uncomfortable. It was a rather welcome warmth.

Sariss tried to move her legs again and swung them over the edge of the bed as soon as she realised that they were fully functionable again.

A relieved sigh escaped her throat and she flung herself into Seb's arms, laughing with happiness and relief. It was awful to be incapacitated in such a manner and so suddenly.

She quickly shoved the other piece of chocolate into her mouth (that meant that there would be no kissing Seb anytime soon due to his stupid allergy) and pulled him towards the exit, thanking Cimber on her way there.

"Let's get out of here, Seb," she said, not liking the thought that there were so many Death Eater victims in there. It made her uncomfortable to be reminded of all the darkness that was lurking outside.

Sariss was happy as soon as they had reached the Slytherin Common Room again.
