Sariss had pushed Seb into the Hospital Wing, almost as if she was sensing he wanted to make a run for it. Well, it wasn't really a push, no thanks to her injuries from the double bludger attack she had sustained in the last Quidditch game against Ravenclaw.

With a sigh, Seb walked to the stack of forms which stood on a small desk near the enterance and picked up two slips, handing one to Sariss.

He sniffled for what he hoped for the last time as he began to fill the form out with the provided quill.

Patient Name: Sebastian Darwin
Age (Approximite): 15
Gender (if applicable): male
Blood Type (if applicable): pure
Species: (All human, etc.): Full human
Allergies: chocolate
Damage Location: (Entire body or certain parts, please specify) N/A
Damage type: (Spells cast, Potion/poison, Fall, etc.) N/A
Other: The Common Cold

With yet another short sigh, he waited for the ink to dry before picking it up. He did not, at all, want to be here.

"Do you know what we do with these?" He asked Sariss, waving his piece of paper. "I don't see no one around to take them."

Seb was tapping his foot nervously on the floor now, flinching slightly as he heard a patient cough, or moan or simply clear their throat. The sooner he could leave the better.

Sariss entered the Hospital Wing along with Seb. It was odd. Now that she was facing treatment, the Bludger injuries seemed to throb especially much, as though they wanted to take revenge on her for trying to get rid of them.

She sighed when Seb handed her one of those forms. She took another quill and began to fill it in.

When Sariss was done with that, she looked around the Hospital Wing. It wasn't very busy really. Curtains were drawn around a few beds, but Sariss couldn't tell whether there were people in them or not. She just stood there and waited.

"Hey, Cimber..." Sariss said, now fairly uncomfortable. "Um... well... I'm not sure if my rib is broken or not... and the haematoma look sort of... nasty..." she babbled and looked at Seb.

Seeing the form he held in his hand, she grew aware of having one just like it in her own hand. She reached out for Seb's form and handed it and her own to Cimber, hoping that the boy would know what to do.

Cimber noticed the fact that Sariss was uncomfortable as she spoke and handed him the forms they both filled up. He didn't really blame her, almost everyone who came in here itched to get out. The Slytherin part of his brain however, was telling him that there might be more to this than the Hospital Wing.

"Uh huh, got hit by a bludger and the common cold. Be right back." He headed for the stockroom.

He returned moments later with an open vial of something that steamed and a bottle of another potion. He handed the smoking bottle to Seb.

"Drink up, that's pepper-up."

He then extended the bottle to Sariss. "Bruise balm. Do you need any help in applying it?"

Seb took the smoking bottle off Cimber and sniffed it, frowning. “Do I have to? Ok I know. Stupid question.”

He realised he was being quite childish, but the thought of billowing smoke from his ears for a while afterwards wasn’t really appealing to him. Muttering a few more incoherent words, Seb rolled his eyes then gulped down the liquid in one go.

“Urgh. Horrible. Blah. Thanks, Cimber mate.”

Now all he needed was for Sariss to be sorted out so he could escape from the horrid place and hide in a corner until the ear smoking stopped.

"Bruise balm. Do you need any help in applying it?" Sariss accepted the bottle and thanked Cimber. She was blushing.

"Um.. no, I think I do that on my own, really," she said. Her face must be glowing just as much as steam was coming out of Seb's ears by now. "Er... where can I... you know..."

It was impossible! Why did she always have to be so shy and insecure?

"I'll need a place where I can... er... get to the... um.. problem..." She mentally slapped herself. When had she lost the ability to form complete and coherent sentences? She must have left her brain outside of the Hospital Wing.

Cimber was amused at his housemates' reactions and he looked it. They were always such interesting people. He nodded to a hidden room up ahead.

"There's a wash room over there. You can put on the balm in there in private."

He then turned to Seb who looked ready to bolt.

"You're welcome. Want a mint to soothe your tongue?"

"You're welcome." Cimber said with a grin on his face. "Want a mint to soothe your tongue?"

Seb shook his head, the smoke from his ears moving with his head. This was embarrassing. It must look like his hair was on fire, or his brain had blew a fuse. Actually that was quite likely. “Is there anyway I can get rid of this?” He then asked his house mate, wafting away the smoke from his ears which only made it worse.

“How about ear plugs? Nah, then it’d come from my nose.”

He began to bite his lower lip and took a involuntary step towards the door.

"Thank you," Sariss breathed and quickly scuttled towards that room that Cimber had indicated.

Hidden from glances that would make her face flush even more, she applied the balm to the areas of her body that had been hit. Amazing that the bruise on her side was exactly the size of the Bludger. That ball had done a really decent job there.

The balm p-rickled (ooc: Haha! I beat the system! Totally innocent use of the word too

) a bit when she placed it on the bruises. When she looked into the mirror, she could see that they were blackish-purple. Really ghastly. She was after all glad that Seb had dragged her into the Hospital Wing.

The balm was cool at first... then it was very warm... and then it was cool again. Felt rather nice actually.

Sariss repeated the procedure on her right arm and then put her robes back on.

Smiling sheepishly, she returned to the main area of the ward where she had left Seb and Cimber.

"I'm afraid you're going to have to wait for it to stop, Sebbie. I hope the dorms won't smell funny later on..." Cimber murmured as an afterthought before he heard the door to the wash room open. He smiled as Sariss came back in, smiling bashfully, and handed him back the bottle of bruise balm.

"Feel better?" Cimber asked as he took the bottle back.

Sariss was still blushing a bit when she gave the bottle back to Cimber. However, she grinned slightly when she saw the steam come out of Seb's ears. That was the good thing about Pepper-Up Potion. Nobody could tell you that they had taken it and lie. You had the evidence right in front of you.

"Yes... a bit," Sariss answered Cimber's question. "It's tingling and itching a bit though. Thank you."

Then she turned to Seb. "Feeling better now?" she asked softly and giggled a bit. "You look as though you'd set your hair on fire." She raised her hand and waved a bit of the smoke away. Still grinning, she kissed him on the cheek.

"It's not funny," He pouted, "And the peppery taste is horrible. I can't go out there like this!" Seb pointed to the door, "There will be a trail of whispy smoke behind me, and if I go on the toilet people will think i'm smoking something in the cubicle! Heh," Seb added a little laugh as he realised Sariss too could catch his cold.

He turned to Cimber, "Well, good work, old chap! We'll be off now, thanks for your time!! Sariss? Are you ready?"

Oh people will laugh so loud. Seb thought to himself, But woo! No cold! Downside and an upside. Meh.

"Oh, I daresay that many people are going to have steam coming out from their ears soon," Sariss grinned. "Including myself maybe."

Or you could always say that the smoke is the result of too much kissing... Sariss blushed at the thought and didn't voice it aloud.

"Well..." she said. "Let's leave then!" Sariss grabbed her bag and swung it over her shoulder. Hmm... doesn't hurt very much... Guess the balm is working...

"As good as new," she grinned at Seb and then nodded at Cimber. "Byes!"

"You too, Cimber, see ya later!" Seb called back just before the door shut on the way out.

And if the smoke gets on your nerves before you to go bed, it's your own fault! he thought to himself chuckling.

Cimber watched them leave as he thought of something.

Knowing the pepper-up potion, the steam can go on for a long time. He thought to himself as he gathered up the things he used. I think I should be bringing one of those smoke screens in the office for the dorms later...
