Cien followed Seb out near the lake and lay down on her back on the grass. "Too... hot..."

Seb jumped about in front of her. "I'm bored. I am! Really. I know it's hot n all, but by god, I'm bored." He attemped a cartwheel.

"Go do some Squid Spotting then?" Cien suggested, sitting up and looking out over the lake.

"Watch this.. watch this.." Seb said, standing in front of Cien. "I can do a crab!"

Slowly, he bent backwards until his hands touched the floor. Struggling, he said "Clever, eh?"

"Uh.." Seb 'walked' a little backwards while in the crab position, then flicked his legs up, so he did a slow backstand until he was standing up once more. "Tadaa!"

Ciens eyes widened slightly. "I should feel very proud if I were you. I can't do that." She pouted then looked across at the lake.

*Sariss wandered about the grounds for no reason in particular--except for that she was bored.

Well... that and the fact that it was WAY too hot for studying or anything else that could have taken her mind off things.

She went in direction of the lake--and saw Cien and Seb sitting there.

"Hello," she said.

"Yeah... not really happy," *Sariss said. She didn't feel like laughing, even though Seb's attempts at cartwheels might have cracked her up under different circumstances. "I could never do cartwheels..."

"I am down, Cien," *Sariss said softly. "It's no fun anymore in Slytherin. I've hardly been in the common room recently because all people do is glare at me. I couldn't even come up with a nice memory for the Pensieve lesson I had in Runes..."

"I don't feel like talking to any of them. It's not like I'd ever spoken very much to them anyway," *Sariss said bitterly. "They decided to twist my words and I see it way beneath me to explain myself to people who deliberately read something I didn't say into something I said. I'm a stubborn [censored] and I won't make the first step. Not ever."

"I just want them to leave me alone entirely," *Sariss said, chewing on her lip. "But they decide to glare every time I enter the room. I'm fed up with all of this. I might as well go drown myself. I'm not happy here anymore."

"Because I yelled at them all because their stupid actions lost us all those points and got Darcie expelled," *Sariss explained. "I said I wasn't sure if I wanted friends who don't know when it's enough, when they've broken enough rules."

Seb thought for a moment.

"I yelled at a few too. Not yelled yelled, but I had a few crossed words. I take their actions with a pinch of salt, a tad of pepper, a dollop of mayo and i place it all in a sandwich and force someone to choke on it! Simple really!"

"My point is, well ok there is no point but, you HAVE friends here who DON'T glare at you, and to whom you'll always be welcome to." He nodded, "So what they think shouldn't even bother you. But then im bound to be wrong here about something......."

*Sariss bit her lip and sniffled, glancing at Seb for a mere split second. "You see, I'm usually not like that. Really! You know me Seb. I don't yell. I don't freak out. Those are things that Sariss Electra Ravon does not do..." she rambled.

"But... I don't know... It just made me snap that we've as good as lost the house cup... that our Quidditch team is one important player short... and that Slytherin is the laughing-stock of the entire wizarding world now."

She snorted, her sense of merciless sarcasm kicking in fully. "And now I am being the one to get the glares only because I dare have an opinion. Oh the horror! There's somebody who's opinionated in Slytherin House. We'd best glare her opinions out of her," she mocked, tears in her eyes, but an expression of contempt on her face as she looked out over the lake.

"We all do thing's which ain't classes as ourselves. Take me for example. For some strange unknown reason I just kept snapping at everyone. The poor thing was, Meg was always the one closest. Poor sod. I still need to say sorry." He rested his hand on her arm.

"Just let it go. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and let it sail away when you exhale. Sail away on the wind. And all that garbled poo people say. I don't think there is anything else I can say, apart from stand tall, stand proud, and remember that you're right, they're wrong. YOU should be doing the glaring."

"But I don't want to glare. I yelled at them and calmed down again. The storm is over on my part. Forgiven but not forgotten," *Sariss said and took a deep breath.

"Well... It would have been forgiven if they hadn't started the glaring and pointedly ignoring business with me. Now they can rot somewhere if it pleases them." She nodded for emphasis.

By the way, I'm still claiming that I was under a severe influence of Imperius." She laughed uncomfortably. "I was awful up there. That song wasn't really my thing..."
