Should you go by the "Nobles' Glade", you'll find the Queen's Court engaging in numerous activities typical of the Elizabethian era. During court dance, for example, many noblemen vie to be the Queen's partner (Photo, left). After choosing a suitable gentleman, Elizabeth leads both her court and a number of patrons in the dance (Photo, below).

Later, a feast was held -- and served in traditional fashion, with various persons presenting appetizing dishes in succession (Photo, right).
Bristol has its share of enjoyable acts. The first of those that need to be mentioned is that bold and manly duo, "Dirk and Guido", The Swordsmen (Photo, left). These two engaged in a rapid-fire display of wit and rapiers, ending off by teaching the secret of their charms to their audience. There are performers who have an unmistakable stage charisma which makes you want to come back repeatedly and never get bored. Dirk and Guido must be ranked amongst them!
There have also been many famous battling couples: Kate & Petrucchio, Beatrice & Benedick, George & Martha. Bristol gives you Molly and the Tinker (Photos, right and below). This married duo is a long- established act at faire who continually engage in a battle of the sexes using both piercing and bawdy commentary in their song and speech. It all makes for a very hilarious show!
