

One act that returned this year to Bristol that got me very
excited was the Hanlon-Lees "Action Theater" (Photo, left). They are my favorite jousting
troupe. They perform the typical exercises associated with the joust (Photos, upper left and
below). However, they focus less on historically accurate jousting and much more on riveting
violence with intense combat stunts (Photos, below). It's a show designed to really appeal
to the bloodthirsty!!!




Sir Clisto Seversword, Knight of the Holy Blade of York, strikes a gallant pose (Photo, left) in his new Faire garb. To the right is his son and squire, Dustin Seversword. Both may be found almost every weekend at the Bristol Renaissance Festival in season.
