THE
WHO’S & WHAT’S:
I’m
a female in my late teen years. I’m about as white as one can get since my
ancestry is Irish, Scottish and French. Yup. I’m really white. [I’ve got the
non-existent rhythmical skill of a white person too.] I was born and raised here
in the United States. In fact, I’ve never been out of the US. I’ve never
even seen the ocean. That’s sad.
My
penname is, obviously, Krisian Rose. I got my penname in history class. [A
strange place to come up with a name, I know.] I was supposed to write down
‘Christian,’ but I forgot the ‘t’ and ended up with Chrisian. I liked
it, and changed the ‘Ch’ to a ‘K’ and voila! Insta penname! Oh, and
‘Rose’ is my actual middle name. Put it all together and what do you get?

I also go by: Rames,
Roses!, Raymond, Rameus, Rizamey, Romulous,
Supergirl, Thor, Attention, Eagle, Robyn the Wildrose, Avonelle, Kaimelar
Spellsinger, Pigeon, Gryphona, Little One, Pixel Brain, Molly, Lady Rose and
blue-n-fuzzy.
WRITING:
I
actually started to focus on writing my freshman year. It was a goofy little
story involving some fellow cast members of the school play and myself. That was
the beginning. That story has since gone through the paper-shredder, but others
have followed. My writing style has evolved. It's nowhere near where I would
like it to be, but, as they say, practice makes perfect.
My
first experience on fanfiction.net was early in my sophomore year. I posted a
story and received nothing but flames. I was, well, distraught to say the least.
I deleted that story and swore to myself I would never return to this website
again. More than a year and a half later, I mustered up my courage and returned.
Boy, am I glad I did.
Aside
from fanfics, I also do original stuff. I prefer to write fantasy and have just
recently discovered the wonders of the ‘First Person Progressive’ style.
[For a good example of first person progressive, read In
the Shadows of Light by Captain of the Guard.]
MY
MUSES:
Music
– This is where I draw most of my inspiration from. Songs help me to create
characters, scenarios. Anything! I don’t know what I’d do without music!
My
Nightcrawler Action Figure – I don’t know how on
earth I ended up with a twelve-inch pose able Nightcrawler action figure, but
I’ve got one. He sits on my desk and stares at me ‘till I write something!
Ügendorf
the Blue – Ügendorf is a little Lego-wizard key chain I have. He’s my
bud and goes with me everywhere!
My
World History and English Classes – A strange place
to come up with inspiration, I know, but my world history teacher was so boring,
I just wrote to pass the time. Also, if I remember correctly, Quest
for the Crystal was a product of my being bored in English!
Fetch,
Stretch and Scratch - No, not the game of fetch, or anything like that. Fetch,
Stretch and Scratch are my Slinkies. [Where the names came from is a
long and stupid story that I won't bore you with.] Slinkies are just amusing,
and are indeed great for working through writer's block.
HOBBIES:
I
am an actor. Being on stage is the greatest. Now, I may be short of stature, but
I'm big of voice and emotion. Just ask anyone who’s seen me perform. [Namely,
my editor/friend Lady Lilrin.] I’m currently ranked 3rd in my state for the
Interpretation of Drama, and I hope to do the same or better this year.
When
I’m not acting or writing, I draw and read. I’m a fairly good artist with
colored pencils or oil pastels, but give me a pencil and some q-tips and I can
work miracles. I love to read books by: Tamora Pierce, Diane Duane, Marianne
Curley, Clive Barker, JK Rowling, David Clement-Davies, Neil Gaiman, Brian
Jaques, and many, many more. I'm a regular bookworm!
REVIEWS
& FLAMES:
To
me, comical reviews are the greatest. They always brighten my day. So, I try to
give them in hopes of spreading the joy. Don’t be fooled though, if I notice
something I don’t like or that is technically incorrect, I will point it out,
though, contrary to a flamer, I will tell you how I believe it can be improved.
Much
like my favorite gentleman thief and his experience with fire, flames have
scarred me for life. I will not give them, nor will I tolerate receiving them.
If you flame me, I won’t play the revenge game and flame you back. Flames are
evil things and it’s sad that there are reviewers out there who get their
kicks by insulting a fanfic, and even worse, insulting the author… Ok, I’m
going to get off of my soapbox now.
When
I review original work, I try to give constructive criticism. If I seem as
though I flame, I’m horribly sorry. Flames are evil – I should know. To me,
reviews should tell an author what is both good and bad about their work, and
how the bad stuff may be fixed. I try to review all of my reviewers, so if you
review me, I will make a definite effort to review you back. Just be patient
with me, because I might not make it to your story right away.

THE
TIGERS & THE LIGHTER:
These
are my pet tigers, Remy, Bongo and Brak. They live in my author’s notes and my
reviews. They were a gift to me by one of my dearest [and craziest] reviewers of
fanfiction.net, schizomaniax. Remy gets his name from the ever-loveable Cajun,
Remy LeBeau, aka Gambit. Bongo was my sister’s idea for a name, and Brak is
named after possibly one of the funniest cartoon characters ever! Say hello
guys!

Also,
this is Zippy. Zippy is a lighter that previously belonged to a certain Aussie
mutant by the name of Pyro. Again, Zippy is gift from schizomaniax. [Whom I love
and think should get an account!] My nifty lighter will also be making
appearances in reviews and author’s notes. Beware, cause I’m almost as bad
as Pyro himself!
OBSESSIONS:
You
might be able to tell, but I’m a little obsessed with “The League of
Extraordinary Gentlemen.” That’s my favorite fandom at the moment. I’m
also a cartoon junkie. ‘Fairly Oddparents’ and ‘Danny Phantom’ are the
greatest! Followed closely by ‘The Brak Show’ and ‘Space Ghost Coast to
Coast.’ [If you haven’t seen and/or heard of any of these shows, I’m
sorry. You’re missing out majorly.] Anything shiny massively amuses me –
hence, I love Slinkies. The Muppets also massively amuse me. One of my favorite
CDs I own is “The Muppet Show 25th Anniversary Collection: Music, Mayhem and
More.” Power to the Muppets!
