A Little about me.
I have been attending college at Cincinnati State for almost 1 1/2 years and I am currently an Intern with Wellpoint/Anthem. I am enjoying being back in college but it does have its challenges. The biggest challenge is how much the professors expect you to know or it might be avoiding those "senior moments". We all have our moments.
I belong to a Catholic Religious Order called the Secular Discalced Carmelites. I have been a Carmelite for 11 years and it has changed my life. If you click on the cross in the upper left it will take you to our cincinnati website, the cross on the right will take you to the main website for the Discalced Carmelite Order. It is interesting from a web development perspective because it has so much going on and it is in a lot of different languages.
I have three kids. My oldest daughter is Crystal she is in the Army and stationed in Germany. She has just gotten married to Jack Pringle. Hopefully we will be out of Iraq before she and her husband get sent there. Here is a tip for the powers that be, 'you can't give someone freedom if they don't have the will to take it'.
My second daughter Alexandra is a singer. She was picked to sing in the state chorus and she is on the Honor Roll at her high school. My youngest Victoria just graduated from grade school and is also a singer. She sang a song at her graduation that had everyone crying (not from pain).
Prior to going to school I drove Freightliner trucks across the country. I did that for 12 years. The money is good or was good, now it is hard to make a living. After doing that I can tell you that modern slavery does exist, right here in America. The only way that I was able to get out was because of a life changing injury. I ruptured a disc in my back twice. At this point, I can only sit in a car for about an hour before my back hurts and I have about an hour where I can walk around before I have to sit down. Luckily, the place that I feel best sitting in is a computer chair. Therefore, I get to do what I like best, play with computers. Overall, I would say that although I enjoyed driving and traveling it was not Worth injuring my back, and missing out on the lives of my kids as they grew up. I drove over 2 Million miles in those 12 years, I made a lot of money, saw a lot of things, but what I miss most is the people I met along the way.
