Marie Elizabeth and Collin Hallen Spinnet are Torrence's parents. At the young age of four, Collin took a turn for the worst. Torrence's father died of cancer in that particular year.
Marie and Collin met in Collin's senior year of high school in Ireland and in Marie's sophmore year. Only after two months of getting to know the other better, Marie and Collin began dating. It was a year after they both entered the University of Ireland that the couple decided on preparing for a wedding. Soon, they were wedded, in yet another year exactly.
Torrence is actually an only child, but she is related to Elizabeth Wilks, a seventeen year old Slytherin that had never gotten along with Torrence once in their lives. They are cousins, however, despite their differences.
Born and raised in the beautiful country of Ireland, Torrence grew up with no knowledge of the magical world around them. Her mother, Marie, had them moved to the United Kingdom the year after Collin's tragic death. There, Torrence was introduced to her present best friend, or one of them at least, Christina Johnson. The two had so much in common that they considered each other sisters.
In the few years that passed after the Spinnets had arrived in London, England, Adam Losech and Mitchel Reed came into the picture. Two peas in a pod those boys were. Torrence's cousin, Elizabeth, developed quite the school girl crush on Mitchel, and Torrence and Christina would tease her about it. Soon, Elizabeth wore out of that crush and deliberately turned her back onto the four friends. Ever since that time, Torrence and Elizabeth have never been the same.
At the age of eleven, Torrence surprisingly recieved a letter addressed to her about attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Elizabeth had recieved one the past year. This is where her Hogwarts adventure began.
