A lot of wizards have trouble finding the right outfit to wear in muggle filled situations. With the simple rules in this book you can put together the perfect outfit for the muggle filled event. Complete with pictures.
Chapter one: Casual wear
Muggle's casual wear can be very simple to reproduce. It is similiar to a lot fo casual clothes that wizards and witches wear. The simplest way to go casual is to wear a pair of jeans or slacks. Everyone wears then and they will draw no attention to you.
As you can see in the pictures above you can pair the pants with a plane t-shirt, polo shirt, or long sleeve button up.
Women's clothes are done in just about the same way. As you can see below the clothes are more fitted and are worn a little differently.
Shoes should be tennis-shoes or sandals.
Chapter two: Dressing up
Muggles dress up for special occasions like wizards do. The clothes are rather similar but still very different. A simple mistake could give you away. As you can see above the males wear a "Tuxedo" it is normally worn in black with a tie or bowtie. Never are there any huge details like lace, different patterns or colors.
Female attire is also a little more simple. Depending on the occasion you may want to sport a short dress which makes it more casual. A longer flowing dress is more formal. Sleeves are not often seen, a spaghetti strap is the msot common look. If you want to play it safe, go with a simple black dress. Some muggles call this the "little black dress" and many think that every woman should own one.
Chapter Three: What not to wear.
There are some things that wizards and witches might wear that are never acceptable for the muggle world. If you wear these you will stand out for sure.
Robes are never worn. The muggles have no use for them and wear jackets or coats instead over thier normal clothes.(See chapter one)Actually, when muggles use the word "robe" they mean wraps they wear after they get out of the shower or to keep warm at home in thier pajamas.(See below)
Cloaks are also never worn. Muggles wear something similar called a poncho(see below). But as shown, it is smaller and doesnt have a hood. It is used a lot for more fashion than function.
The hats that muggles wear look nothing like hats that a witch or wizard might where. Some acceptable hates are baseball caps, fandoras, or beanies. Ex. below.
Chapter four: Learn from your surroundings
Really, the easiest way to blend in to your surroundings is to learn from them. Look around you when you go shopping. Buy what everyone else is buying. If you are getting weird looks when you go out, then you've obviously done something wrong. Learn from your mistakes. And always just keep it simple.
