Transformative Learning
Transformative learning refers to learning that is based on reflection and interpretation of the experiences, ideas, and assumptions gained through prior learning. Rooted in the meaning-making process central to constructivism, it is a mjaor feathure of online classrooms and the goal is to understand why we see the world as we do and rid ourselves of constraints of limiting perspectives carried with us into the learning experience. Crucial to this process is providing support and the ability to dialogue and criticall reflect on the material presented and on the self.
