I know that Hogwarts~ Live the Magic has been inactive for some time. But I would like to become active again.
I need teachers, heads of houses, staff members, etc. Below I will post more details on the positions that I need filled. Everything is first come, first serve. Please email me at livethemagic.hogwarts@gmail.com if you are interested in any of the positions. I will post the date of the school's opening on this page soon. Note: there will be no Prefects or Head Boy/Girl for the first, second, third, or fourth terms. Since we are starting over none of you will be in the right year to apply for either position. It is too confusing for me to let students skip terms to fill out those positions. Instead, your head of house will take up the tasks usually appointed to prefects.
Openings:
Teachers: As a teacher you write your own lesson plans and teach class on your designated days. You take up homework, give quizzes, and must write up an end of term exam. It is also your job to keep track of grades and send me each student's final grade and end of term exam grade so that I may send out report cards. To apply for a teaching position let me know which class or classes you'd be interested in teaching and provide me a lesson plan for at least one of them.
The following jobs are open for teachers: Ancient Runes,
Arithmancy, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Herbology, History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Potions
Quidditch Through the Ages (must be taught with Quidditch Through the Ages textbook written by J.K. Rowling), Transfiguration.
Note: If you are applying for the DADA position and choose to use a character from the books remember that you will have to change your character each term as the DADA teachers in the books do not last more than a year. If you decide to create a new character for the position then feel free to continue as that teacher as long as you wish. Also if you apply for Divination you can teach as Trelawney or Firenze. We will take on two teachers for that particular class.
Head of House: Describe the head of house you'd like to be (Snape, Flitwick, Sprout, or Minerva McGonagall). Also describe how you would deal with a student that had been caught wandering the grounds at night, knowing that it is not the student's first offense.
Other staff positons: Nurse, Caretaker, Librarian, Ghost, and Groundskeeper. To apply for these jobs do the following:
Nurse: give me a description of the layout of the school hospital (how you would set it up) or your best impression of Madam Pomfrey scolding a Quidditch player who has fallen off his/her broom.
Caretaker: send me your best impression of Filch scolding a student who has just chased Mrs. Norris and describe in graphic detail the punishment he would give them if the law allowed it.
Librarian: give me a list of books you've read that are not on the school list. Describe to me the different sections you would like the library to be sorted in. Would you sponsor study sessions or reading groups?
Ghost: describe the ghost you would like to be and give me your favorite quote by them or something you'd imagine them saying.
Groundskeeper: describe your job in two sentences.
HTML Technician: There are a lot of odd jobs I need done with HTML that I'm just not talented enough for. As an HTML Technician you will be expected to create certain visual effects for the websites. This is not difficult work. It simply consists of updating the school's layout from time to time, and creating new tables for the front page of the Hogwarts board.
