Tim's Tips
A fine local fisherman has graciously allowed us to pick his brain as to what may be biting today and how to get them.
So if you are in need of some good old home style fishing kno-how then this is the place to venture into.
Jump in but I hope you have your note book.
1. When using a spinner bait and seem to be getting those pesky short strikes, add a trailer hook. They greatly help your chances. 2. When using a plastic worm you should try pegging the bullet sinker with a toothpick. This prevents you catching more weeds. 3. When using a surface lure you should try leaving it absolutely still. It may entice that final strike. 4. When fishing for spring crappies you should try alternating between jig colors. You never know what they may hit. 5. When trout fishing in a stream you should be as stealthy as possible. Any movement can cause the fish to scare away. 6. Kyle says that to make your presentation look as lifelike as possible you should let it sink as slow as you can. 7. Kyle also believes the best bait for catfish is raw fish meat. It is more natural and better tasting. Trust me, he knows.
