For me, writing has become a way of life. In exchange for a few hours with my stories, I will sacrifice sleep, homework, and the company of others. I love to lose myself in the ecstacy of words, to make the simplest thought somehow beautiful and profound. Sometimes I'm content with observation. I'll record my innermost thoughts or the scene around me. Other times, I desire creation. Characters can spring to life with the briefest movement of my fingers. I become caught up in the question "What will happen next?" I don't create the story; I discover it.
