The universe was massive and empty. The universe existed only as a place for the gods to control. There were, at the time, five deities of the universe: Nagash (The Prince of Hate), Esther (The Sage of Wisdom), Settra (The Goddess of Love), Ifrit (The Flamebearer), and Alkhazzar (The Creator). There came a time where Alkhazzar called for the creation of his own world. The other gods failed to recognize this idea, for they knew of the corruption that could spawn from it. In spite of the other gods, Alkhazzar created a vast, mystical world for him to rule...

    The other gods, having discovered Alkhazzars treachery, demanded that they take a part in the creation of the world as well. They came to the agreement that they would each spawn their own race of beings. The Prince of Hate, summoned forth the dark race of Trolls, who dwelled within the swamps and gloomy regions of the world. The Sage of Wisdom created the race of Elves, who considered themselves to be highly intelligent and superior to the other races, dwelling deep within the dense forest. Settra, being the Goddess of Love, decided to create beauty in the world, and therefore created all the animals, plants, and lesser creatures for the world. Ifrit, The Flamebearer, had spawned the race of Dwarves, short yet strong beings that dwelled in mountainous regions, mastering a vast variety of tradeskills. Alkhazzar, being as self-centered as he was, developed a race in his own image: The race of man...

   As time came to pass, the gods powers seemed to have ceased. To this day, noone is quite sure what had happened to the rulers of the world. Adventurers continue to search for the past, but to no success. The world, being as large as it is, has been said to have an infinite boundary. Noone has ever reached the end of the world. The horizons stretch to beyond eternity, thus the races had chosen to name this world "Eternia"...
