In the late summer warmth of Ere, four adventurers accepted a job from the Kinos Historic Society to assist an archaeologist named Alsoe Damae on a return expedition to the island of Illium.

Unfortunately, the job goes South as Alsoe’s assistant, who was sent to bring them to the city of Spinar, turns up dead at the hand of a pair of cloaked, hunchbacked figures.

Framed for the murder, the party fled Kinos. Now, aided by a mysterious mage calling himself Cortair, the party races to find Alsoe before the cloaked men do. But appearances can be deceiving, and they soon find themselves entangled in a web of intrigue that dates to before recorded history.

Can they work together for the fate of Ere? Are they destined for greatness?
