The Style:

Echoes of the Gods is broken down into days, some days are longer or shorter than others, but there's a distinct ending point for each day.  The same is true of Echoes of the Past, a side story to Echoes of the Gods that continues simultaneously, though covering less days and starting near the end of September.

Echoes of the Gods and Echoes of the Past are both written in a script style format for the most part.  The vignettes and other associated readings that will be posted are all generally written in a more traditional format.

The majority of vignettes and other miscellaneous pieces should also be read to go along with certain days, for this reason, a calendar system for the entries seemed to be the best method.

Pieces that can be read at any point are listed before the calendars.

The Rating:

Please note, many installments are not rated, this is because generally the story is PG-ish, however, in the interest of not surprising anyone, instances in which it contains an NC-17 level scene within a day will be marked with the rating.

The Year/Ages:

In writing this story we chose to date Harry as having been born in 1980.  We know there has been much discussion of what year Harry was "really" born in, however, JKR herself has said that she purposely uses incorrect days of the week to go with dates, as well as incorrect times for releasing new technology, in order to prevent the Harry Potter stories from being associated with a specific year.  Due to this we chose 1980 simply because it made things easier for us to date from.

One final note on ages, at a number of points during the story it is said that Nicole was in the same class at Hogwarts as Bill Weasley, making them both 29 currently.  According to notes from JKR on her site, Bill should be 26 during Harry's 7th year.  At the time we began writing this story, over a year ago, that information had not yet been released and we picked an age for him and Nicole that worked for our story and seemed realistic.  Bill and Nicole will therefore remain 29 for the purposes of this story, as it would mean a heavy editing of both dialogue and timeline.
