Install the “Norton AntiVirus 2003 Professional Edition

1. Go to the folder called “Norton AntiVirus 2003 Professional Edition”

2. There is another folder within called “un-norton”, in here click on SETUP.EXE  Let the program install and update. It my ask  to restart your computer. If so, let it restart. (NOTE: You will see an error after the update. This error is NORMAL and is corrected by an updated program patch in the next line5. This problem was found after the release of the program, and is due to the problem with the “LiveUpdate” portion of the program).

3. Now install the Program Patch:

4. Go to the folder called “Norton Patch”

5. Click on the file called “liveusetup.exe”

6. Run a full virus scan on your computer by starting “Norton AntiVirus Professional Edition”

7. Click on the “SCAN FOR VIRUSES”

8. On the bottom left of this window you will see the words in black bold text “ACTIONS”, below this click on the word “SCAN” in blue text. Your virus scan will now start to scan your computer for viruses.

9. Every Thursday open your “Norton AntiVirus Professional Edition” and click on the “LIVEUPDATE”  button on the top left of the window to update your virus scan to scan for new viruses that have been created.
