Pansy Parkinson

Pansy Parkinson was born to a wealthy pure blooded wizarding family. As an only child Pansy was treated like a princess and given whatever she wanted. She was given only the finest clothes money could buy and her childhood tutors were the best pure blooded witches money could hire. So to no fault of her own, Pansy naturally developed a great distain for those of lesser wealth. Growing up Pansy was isolated from other children who were not pure blooded and thus she never fully developed the ability to interact appropriately with others. Her parents also instilled upon their daughter the traditional belief that pure bloods were of the highest status and that all others were below them.

Shortly before Pansy's birth her parents were recruited by Voldemort. . Yet before they joined the dark lord they discovered that he himself, was not of pure blood descent and they quickly rejected his offer as they would simply never swear loyalty to one of lesser heritage.

Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Pansy was sorted into Slytherin. Her sheltered childhood quickly came through in her personality and she found it very difficult to make friends as there were many half bloods and mudbloods around. In addition to having only a few purebloods to make friends with, her inability to interact well isolated her from all but a select group of Slytherins who she was able to communicate with. Throughout her first five years at Hogwarts, Pansy's friends were Draco Malfoy and his mindless goons Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle. She also spent a great deal of time with a select group of other Slytherin girls ( The Queens of Slytherin ) and Together they prove to be the terrors of the schools as they ruthlessly picked on mudbloods, halfbloods, and even some purebloods who they deemed lower than themselves such as the Weasleys.

Years of private tutors had prepared Pansy well for the rigors of Hogwarts schooling and she had little trouble mastering most skills. Her greatest skills come in the field of charms. Years of daily fits of rage had seen Pansy smash many items in the Slytherin common room and dormitory. As a result she quickly mastered the repairing charms as well hexes which she fancied to use on those who upset her, or simply got in the way. Pansy doesn’t enjoy all her classes though, she simply hates Divination which she feels is nothing but rubbish. Perhaps the only thing she hates more than Divination is Care of Magical Creatures. The subject itself fascinates her, yet that brainless oaf Hagrid who teaches the class often forces them to work with dangerous and often illegal creatures.

Now in her 6th year, Pansy is facing new challenges from her parents. Finally realizing that their daughter was simply put, a spoiled brat, they have tried to make her work more for things. Pansy is now on a weekly allowance of money, something that was unheard of to her and has been the cause of much destruction in the Slytherin common room. More frustrating to Pansy is the fact that she recently received a letter from her parents informing her that they expect her to get a job after leaving Hogwarts! To the Slytherin princess who was used to everything being given to her, this has come as quite a shock and has affected her personality greatly. This has proven to be beneficial however as Pansy has now come up with political ambitions in the form of the Pansy Parkinson Project Although she still will bully others, Pansy is now a bit more timid and often times will let a potential victim get away. Also realizing that she will have to associate with non purebloods after Hogwarts, she is trying to be more accepting of others.
