Catalina Cavales
As a toddler, Catalina spent her days in her mother's shop. Most the time she remained in her mother's office playing with her dolls, however during those rare times when business slowed down Catalina was delighted by the workers in the store showing her various spells and charms. When Catalina turned five years old her days in her mother's store changed drastically. She found that everyday instead of playing with her dolls all day long, her mother now made her practice writing, reading, and working with numbers. Though Catalina would have rather still played all day long, she soon found that she was quite good at it and soon came to enjoy writing and reading books about famous witches and wizards, as well as some muggle books her father gave her.
When Catalina was six years old she took her first trip to Hogwarts with her parents. On that occasion she was to watch her older sister Amber play in a quidditch game. Catalina didn't fully understand what was going on, all she knew was that her sister kept flying around in the sky on a pretty broom and she kept throwing a red ball, Catalina was soon entranced by the sport. On her seventh birthday, Catalina recieved perhaps her favorite present ever. Her sister Amber gave her a shiny new red children's broom, much to the dismay of her parents. At first Catalina was only able to fly a few feet off the ground in her backyard, but soon she was flying 20 feet off the ground. When she turned 8 years old her parents simply couldn't say no any longer and allowed Catalina to begin playing quidditch in a children's league where she quickly fell in love with the sport, and particularly the chaser position.
At Hogwarts Catalina proved to be just as successful academically and on the Quidditch as her older sister Amber had been. She graduated from Hogwarts and received NEWTS in Charms, Tranfisguration and Herbology. Instead of following in her sister's footsteps and playing Quidditch, Catalina followed up on her other dream, to open her own sweets shop. During her 7th year she took out a loan and with the help of her sister she purchased a shop in Hogsmeade. The month after graduation, Catalina began hiring friends to work with her at the shop. Together they remodeled the inside and on July 19th, Catalina's Cubby opened for business.
