Pronounced : - em-bowl/g

Imbolg is sometimes called Candlemas. In this ceremony we honor the Goddess and her recovery for giving birth to the God and the advent and growth of the land. On this sabbat Candle magick is mainly used. Imbolgc represents the first day of the Wiccan spring. Many Wiccans incorporate the Celtic Triple Goddess Brigid or Breid, who represents fire, water, healing, inspiration and artisitic endovours into their imbolgc rites. On this night many candles are lit to signify the awaking of the earth.
