As the saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words". That is the idea behind this site. To show you pictures of timepieces made by the most popular manufacturer of alarm clocks and other timepieces.
This site will help you identify your timepiece, get an approximate date of manufacture and other invaluable information. Also, you will be able to see the clock with the correct hands, dial, feet or base and winding and setting knobs. This is important if you are considering purchasing an older clock.
Many of the photos were taken with the glass/crystal removed to reduce glare and provide a clearer picture of the dial and hands. These clocks were also taken apart and the specific date of each clock is stated. (Date of manufacture).

As the title "Vintage" indicates, this site primarily displays American clocks made by Westclox that were made from the early 1900's up to about the 1960's. It is not limited to this time frame and any valid submissions by visitors will be gladly added. If you have accurate information and pictures that you would like to see posted, please submit the info.
Most foreign timepieces were usually the same as those made in the U.S.A. except that the model name was sometimes changed. Occasionally unique models/cases were made to better reflect the countries decor.

Although Westclox used the name Western Clock Company until the mid 1930's, all items are referenced as Westclox. The main place of manufacture for these clocks was LaSalle, Illinois.
