ABOUT ME: My name is Casper. My mom also calls me “The Great Spotted Beast” and my dad usually calls me the “Hound Dog” not because I belong to the Hound family but because I hound people.  My breed has also been nicknamed “Velcro Dogs” because we love to attach ourselves to humans as tightly as we can.  I am famous for leaning on people with all of my 130 pounds of pure muscle !

I am not just any old Dalmatian (Dal for short) but I am quite possibly the world's largest Dalmatian. My vet in his 30 odd years of practice has yet to come across another Dal as huge as me.  I am 5 years old and one would think that by human standards I should be entering middle age, but not me!  I feel just as energetic and active (hyperactive as humans would say) as the day I was born.

My favourite pastime is “Counter Surfing”.  I love to see what my parents have left on the kitchen counter or on the dining table and if I like what I see and if no one is watching - hey it is mine!!  My best record to this day would be polishing of delicious, mouthwatering, hot of the oven two whole pizzas ( which my mom left on the counter to cool for a few minutes ) with my best friend Petunia !!! Boy! did I get into trouble that day- but it was worth every delicious bite.

I love people, other dogs and kids. My most favourite thing in the whole world is going to the beach at Carmel where dogs are allowed off leash and I get to show off to all the tourists who come and pet me and insist on taking pictures with me. I am quite the ham. I get to meet all kinds of dogs (mostly smaller than me of course) and we exchange lots of stories. I get quite an audience when I slither like a snake on my belly on the wet sand just after a wave. When I come back home I am happy, exhausted and life is good !

A lot has been written about me by parents in e-mails and letters but now I get to introduce myself to the world on the world wide web and I am so excited!!!
