MOVIE SITES Official Movie Site with wallpapers, screensavers, production info, and lots more. Quintessential LotR- has screen caps and fantastic movie images arranged by book and chapter. GENERAL TOLKIEN SITES The One Ring-dot-netis the best site for movie news, updates on the stars, discussion forums for the books or movies, info about the books- this site is THE Tolkien homoe online. Ringquest- Discussion forums, pictures, etc. Has been down for a month or so as of 1/22/03 with no explanation from the mods. Hmph. Tolkien Online; similar to Ringquest, has forums, art galleries, discussion boards, but is more book-oriented rather than movie-oriented. HUMOR The Very Secret Diaries- famous in the fandom world, Cassie's VSD's have reached fans everywhere- up to and including the actors themselves, as it's rumored Sean Astin has a "Sam will kill me if I try anything" t-shirt... Still Not King, anyone? ;) Waiting for Frodo-A cute comic featuring a kid named Sam who waited in line 6 months for FotR with his friends Rosie and Galadriel (aka Gladys) and his cat Pippin. Wars between them and the Harry Potter-ites and Trekkies ensue, and Rosie gets transported off to New Zealand for a trip to Weta Digital! The Mouth of Sauron- RotK script as might have been performed by Monty Python, SNL cast or similar comic group. |
