The gorgeous imagery of Tolkien's writing has inspired so many artists to visualize the words into images. One of the most famous is Alan Lee, whose artwork adorns the covers of one particularly nice hardback set of the books, and who worked with Peter Jackson on-location to create the movie set for Rivendell. The book Realms of Tolkien is a compilation of multiple artists' renditions of Tolkien's work, and I suggest you flip through it as I could not find all its beautiful pictures online to post here. |
