The Philosophy of the Phionitides Publishing Company
The Phionitides Publishing Company publishes only esoteric works for eccentric minds. We are innately hostile to all mainstream mediocre mentalities and to all mainstream publishing practices. We do NOT judge the book by its cover like so many other publishing companies. The contents are more important than the covers. Many glossy covers conceal the worthlessness of the trash printed within them. They are like beautifully clean garbage bags that hold a lot of putrid waste within them. Our covers are simple like a natural cotton curtain covering a window; once the curtain is opened, the window will display all the literary treasures waiting to be scrutinized by intelligent readers.
The Phionitides Publishing Company is eco-friendly, using recycled papers for printing its books. Books are either saddle-stitched or perfect bound paperbacks. The publications are published in limited editions and can only be purchased from the Publisher. The prices of the publications are very reasonable and are based on printing costs and size of contents.
The Phionitides Publishing Company publishes the following genres: drama ( comedy, tragedy, satire), fiction( tales, fables), songs (lyrics), letters, magazine ( serial), essays( satiric).
Currently we are publishing works from a remarkable satiric playwright whose name is Rick Super. His works are brilliant and deserve to be printed and published to endure for all time. His wit and imagination and linguistic prowess make us think of the birth of a satiric brainchild created by the mental union of the Roman satiric poet Juvenal with the Greek satiric dramatist Aristophanes. Indeed he is the Juvenalian Aristophanes of the 21st century. His works are deep and cut through every form of human pretension. He has been rejected by many mainstream publishers because of his blatant honesty and because of his unrelenting mockery of all human stupidities.
We here at Phionitides Publishing Company have decided to promulgate his satiric works because we believe in forthright individualistic expression of thoughts and feelings. We are Not here to censure a man because of his rebellious viewpoints. Freedom of expression is Real here. We don’t judge a book by its cover and we don’t publish worthless books merely to make money or to be on the bestseller list.
