Welcomes the
Brothers and Sisters

Greetings and Salutations to all The Brothers and Sisters of Angelfire. Life is a very hard ordeal and without help we face a difficult road. Getting from beginning to end we meet and greet each other along the way. Be kind to all your fellow pilgrims for the road is long and treacherous.

I have spent the better part of the last quarter of a century fighting the good fight. I have been first at a number of things and made inroads so that those who came behind me would have an easier way to go. My interests are as diverse as my skills. I welcome your thoughts, and writings for even in the darkest of nights those that look may find a light of redemption.

Be strong Brothers and Sisters for the fight is not OVER! Beware least we lose the few minor stepson the ladder ofsuccessthat wehave won. Do not buy into the greed and apathy of middle class America but use it`s dreams to help bolster your own.

Beware the trap of distraction. It has been used too many times in the past to lure us into battles and on to paths not our own. These distractions take the focus off our own struggle.

Beware the trap of ancestry. A wise old man from Kenya once told me, "You are the MONGRELS of the earth, you have no fathers, no land, no home." Understand that we are not a race but rather a collection of people and therein lies both our beauty and our strength. In our genes are contained the building blocks of all humanity for we are not one race but ALL races.

Do not be jealous of one who has made some small step towards affluence but pity him if he forgets that we are his roots. Don`t be mad at the ones of us who cross the line and do not return rather rejoice in the knowledge that their descendants will bare the seeds of our true emancipation and salvation while also carrying the blooms of destruction to that which was thought pure. Finally don`t be sad at those that seek comfort outside of ourselves rather pray for them that have forgotten how many were hung for just looking and how many couldn`t say NO!

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your Truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and agressive persons, for they are vexations to the Spirit.
If you compare yourself to others, you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possessionin thechanging fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself
Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about Love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of Spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the Universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here, and whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with God, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be careful.
Strive to be happy.

Love, that thing we all Search For

Love that elusive and all consuming thing that occupies every waking hour of our constructive lives, lives right beneath the surface of the muck and mire of our daily existence

Dig up the bones of indifference and you`ll find love.
Scrape off the slime of depression and you`ll find love.
Pull off the scab of disrespect and you`ll find love
Strip off the rags of poverty and you`ll find love
Dry off the tears of hatred and you`ll find love
Kick off the shackles of racism and you`ll find love!

So plant the seeds of caring and you`ll grow love
Heal the wounds of honor and love will blossom
Put on the cloth of salvation and joy will shine from you
Scream the shouts of new foundfaith and goodness will well up in you
Wear the jewelry of brotherhood and you will be blessed

For Love, that thing we all search for can be found in every one of us and in all things, but especially within ourselves.
We must know ourselves first, and then we canfind Love, that thing we all search for, in someone else.

To the Sisters!
I`m Seeking A Damsel Not in Distress
I am a worldly, but weary, 44 year old SBM, professional newly returned home to Washington, DC after being gone for a decade. I love quiet times, good food, fine wine, nice restaurants, plays, movies, concerts, beaches, walks, picnics, massages and all around pampering. I am willing and eager to return the same. I`m a slow and easy man and I like things gentle and long lasting.
I am a lonely warrior seeking a companion for a long term intimate friendship or relationship.
I`m tired of clubs, hoochies and chicken heads.
I`m tired of women with crazed ex-husbands,boyfriends or baby`s daddies.
I don`t date married women nor do I cheat with people who are supposed to be involved with someone!
I`m tired of women with too much drama in their lives.
I`m tired of women with so much baggage in their lives they are incapable of carrying on a normal and loving relationship.
I`m tired of women incapable of communicating their wants, desires, and needs but more importantly their dislikes, and hates. Communication if used can solve so many problems.
I`m a fair skinned, slightly overweight, strong willed, very opinionated, highly educated, technically skilled computer consultant with hobbies that range from gourmet cooking and wine tasting, to of course computers.
I tend to be brutally honest and am very racially aware.
My interest range from politics to religion.
I`m deeply religious but I`m not a fanatic.
I`m seeking a Black American Princess with her head on straight. My ideal Nubian companion would be :
      a SBF

20 to 50 years of age (Just a general guideline and NOT written inConcrete)

      5` to 5` 9" tall

slim to moderately thick curvaceous build

      caramel to dark complexion

      Highly motivated

      Racially aware

(Being a homemaker is a job if it`s done right but I would prefer a financially independent woman! Not looking for a Sugar Mommy! But If you could take care of yourself before we met why should that change?)

a smoker or not offended by smoking (very important point)

Not in NEED of a Sugar Daddy
I`d like to meet you if you are out there.
If you have children that`s OK but you would have to decide if you have the time to invest in me. My children are grown.

If you are in to the fast and hard life I`m not your guy, but If you are looking to spoil a man and be spoiled in return let`s talk or email me.

I am myself and responsible for my own actions. We each have to answer in judgement for what we do. There is LOVE on the Internet as there is LOVE in so many places. It can be found here just as easy as it can be found in a bar, or church. Of all things I can be accused of in life, I`m glad my crimes are of loving too soon, too much, and too often. For these crimes I will gladly pay the punishment. The loneliness of life, and the passing of youth, sometimes makes us grasp at straws! We sometimes do things that we know better than, or say things that we know aren`t quite right! I`ve come to realize that time often makes cowards ofmany of us and the excitement and risk of youth sometimes fades away or just dies from our lives long before they should. We trade the risk for safety and the excitement for stability. Each thing has value but when one compromises in this manner more often than not you lose. I don`t want to let the excitement escape my life! I know that old is a state of mind, as well as a physical condition. I can only do battle against the ravages of time physically for it is a war none of us can win. But I can battle and defeat the ravages of time spiritually and mentally! I would rather have tried to WIN than never have played the game. For without RISK there can be no GAIN, but know this, I have not given up! I will NEVER believe that the world has grown so CRUEL or HARSH as to not have LOVE in it. The world must have LOVE in it for ME and everyone else or we all are truly LOST. Keep the faith my brothers and sisters. Keep LOVE in your Heart!

Chivalry is not DEAD!

A Nubian Desire

Dark Princess, Mother of Light,
Queen of Love and Daughter of Night.

Walk forever proud with your head held high,
Love forever strong and don`t you sigh.

Keep the faith of generations unborn,
Cry the tears of many years of scorn.

In your breast grow the seeds of Love and care,
Made up of sadness, pain, distrust, and despair.

In your soul are the blossoms of strength and pride,
Fed by the deep fires of so many tears cried.

Dark Princess, Mother of Light,
Queen of Love and Daughter of Night.

Keep the hope of our generations yet born,
Alive with your love don`t give into the scorn.

And remember that always in our struggles and losses,
that you are the mothers, the nuturers the bosses.

For without you Nubian Princess the source of our hope,
Too many won`t make it, they will die, lost on dope.

Youwho above all else a man should adore,
The mother of our joy and our open door.

Dark Princess, Mother of Light,
Queen of Love and Daughter of Night.

Too many black men have forgotten your name,
But not me, oh not me, and It`s all to our shame.

Nuture your heart, I will attempt this oh yes,
Give you respect and in return won`t expect less.

You Nubian Princess are the source of our hope,
Don`t let us get hung by that knotted old rope.

Too many children won`t make it, they will die, lest you win,
And I`ll give you my love, my heart, my joy, not my sin.

For you Dark Princess, Mother of Light,
Queen of Love and Daughter of Night,
Are us, all of you, are the hope of our world,
and without you we build nothing, for a mans` not a girl,
but together, Lord together we can overcome and succeed,
Fill each other`s lives and meet each other`s needs.
