Place two crossed needles under the doormat or paint a door blue to protect the threshold of your home from unwantedinfluences.
Ferns, marigolds, or lillies grown near the front entrance will guard your door.
Sage, salt, mullein, tansy can be buried at the front door to keep ghosts away.
A key placed in a cradle protects the baby (originally from fairies stealing it away in the night). Just be careful about thepotential safety issue should your baby get hold of it during the night.
