Thank you for visiting our page at Angelfire. Our Low Cost Vaccination Program is no longer available because the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board has sent a letter threatening criminal charges against us for "THE UNLAWFUL PRACTICE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE WITHOUT A LICENSE TO DO SO IN OHIO." What they meant to say is that low cost vaccinations that the general public CAN afford cut out their 400% profits while their vet techs administer them at $6.00 per hour, netting them an even bigger profit; AS IF what they charge for veterinary services isn't highway robbery enough! Mind you, there are exceptional veterinarians out there and I am addressing only the elitest crybabies that oppose low cost vaccinations--you know, the ones I NEVER see volunteering at the various rescues and shelters! I am not suggesting that veterinary medicine should be free, I am simply stating that "well pets" should not have to go to the veterinarian and pay big bucks for something that actually costs about a $1.00 per dose! (What a concept--Ohio makes it a law that every dog must have a rabies vaccination and the OVMLB gets an Ohio code that prohibits anyone that doesn't "exhorbitantly profit" from administering them!) Furthermore, I don't want my personal pets exposed to communicable diseases UNLESS they NEED to be there getting medical services from a veterinarian. Administering vaccinations IS NOT practicing veterinary medicine--it is simply making preventative measures available to even the sect of our pet owners that can't afford to do it otherwise!! So it seems to me that the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board has now deemed that the average pet owner must be able to afford their outrageous fees for vaccinations or you must do without! What about all of us that rescue dogs & cats every day!? Geez! Even our poorest can have a human baby and get vaccinations from a low cost clinic! By all means don't believe just what I have typed here--go to www.revivalanimalhealth.com and see if a 3 year rabies is actually .83 cents! Call the Franklin County Board of Health and verify that a rabies vaccination tag is REALLY ONLY $1.00! C'mon, giving a "shot" is not heart surgery--I have given them to humans and pets for 26 years! Get your focus on the stinkin", filthy, abusive puppy mills that dot the Ohio landscape! It's the "little people" that strive 24/7 to actually help animals that gets stomped on by the corporate laws and rules. "I can't imagine that my meager 300 clients take food off of a veterinarian's table!" I sincerely hope that the veterinarian that initiated this action will reread the Veterinary oath he/she took upon graduating! I hope you won't mind taking up the slack I leave--you'll need to get your ass off the couch on Sunday afternoon and drive to a rescue facility and vaccinate 20 "death row" doggies for $40 before you whiz over to the home-bound widows with the vaccinations, license and every single thing she NEEDS to be legal in Ohio, for a mere $25--Uh, I forgot to mention Mr.CashOnlyVet, if they can't afford the services you can't charge them! AGAIN, don't just jump on my bandwagon because I'm stompin' mad--I have included links and the paperwork that they sent to me! I was notified Thursday, April 24, 2003 by lead investigator Gary Hill, that the OMVLB is seeking criminal prosecution of me in Columbus, Ohio. It was apparently too much work for them to come to me and try to find a way to faciltate the program within their rulebook--I suppose having a Veterinarian VOLUNTEER his services during the evenings and weekends should only be asked of us lowly pet-lovers, rescuers and groomers that chose NOT to pursue a veterinary license because there are WAY too many money-sucking pigs in the profession that give not one rat's ass about the welfare of animals as a whole but only for the animals of folks that can afford their fees!!!
