Customcall are an out-sourced tele-marketing company. I worked on the G.E. Campaign, selling insurance called "Account Cover", for Coles-Myer card holders. The Coles-Myer group is similar to the Great Britains Debenhams chain of stores. The job was quite boring, however the people were fantastic. It is here that I met James Romans, Ben Taylor, Kirsty Mooney, Enda and Sinead and Kellie Dillet. My team-leader was a great guy called Gavin. During my time with Customcall, various sales targets were set, and I won many prizes as a result, mostly alcohol...you'll note by reading my journal during this period that most of the above friends and I shared a drinking passion and such prizes only fueled us...however, I gave all my booze to my uncle. I actually ended up as the top sales person when my 3month visa ended, and as a result was rewarded with a prize and certificate. G.E. were also keen to employ me as a result!

G.E. the company founded by Thomas Edison...you know, the Lightbulb geezer! Anyway, after my stonking performance at Customcall, these guys hired me. Now, seeing as I was so good at sales, what job would you expect the largest (im told) company in the world to give me,thats right! Data Entry and storing away files.Alas, I left work one day, and never went back.

Working for Ace Insurance, upgrading American Express customers card insurance. A pretty easy job, and though I only worked for 4 days with them, I actually was recorded as the top sales person. James Romans from Customcall days got me the job, and I also worked along-side Kirsty Mooney who went to Ace after Customcall. During my short time with them, I did manage to check into a certain Miss K.Minogues account and obtain her phone number, just incase I ever need a date! It's a shame it ended, but it was no great loss as on a whole the job was boring. I managed to spend a few hours pretending to be storing boxes in the basement, when really I was just relaxing!!

Myschoolgenie is an on-line maths program for School kids. It was start-up company and I got the job through my cousin Andrea's husband Paul (AKA Thomo). Paul went to Uni with George, the guy who owned the company. To be honest, I loved the job. I was really good at it, and Sold by far the most. I was involved in creative planning and also tactics regarding not just selling but also our sales process and training of staff. I managed to Get James Romans on-board and he continues to bring in the sales today. It was a shame to leave, however, for the best.

What a crock....As far as jobs go, this one is a nightmare. It's in Chatswood, which means an hour and a quarter travel to and from. To it's credit, the journey does require a train ride over the Sydney Harbour Bridge which I like. I started off trying to sell placements under the directory of the worlds most rubbish internet Directory called F-Ective. I've since moved onto raising funds for a charity who run a lifesaving Chopper. It's rubbish, but I need da cash...!
April - June 2003
This company is part of NRMA, who are Australia's answer to the UK's RAC. Basically i'm working on an outbound campaign, calling people who are looking at retirement and booking them into see a financial advisor...Clearview is basically a Financial company specialising in retirement solutions. It's a fun place, paying top-dollar!! twenty bucks an hour, my highest wage so far! It's all good fun, and I quite enjoy it.

Quite a small company, but really friendly. Specialising in I.T. Testing Solutions. Really good bunch. One of the owners used to play Football against Presentation College, so we've got some kind of weird link I suppose....My job is to book people into Seminars etc.....One of the perks is the fact that you have to cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge to get to work....now thats a view I can live with in the morning. Really enjoy it, really nice people.
