Judi's Journey - A Personal Weight Watcher Page

Welcome to my Weight Watchers page. Allow me to tell you a bit about myself. My name is Judi. At the time of this photo ( January 18, 2003), I was 31 years old & 178 pounds. I am 5' 5.5". and my Body Mass Index was 28.8. ** Here I am...

At my largest, I weighed approximately 200 pounds. This is only 3 pounds shy of my top pregnancy weight six and a half years ago. This was in February 2002. I began Weight Watchers At Home in March 2002 and lost approximately 25 pounds. I was feeling better about myself. Then work commitments and moving got in the way, and I went off plan.

I am currently 185 pounds, and at a height of 5' 5", that gives me a BMI of 30.8. That puts me right over the edge of Obese. Here are the BMI values:

    BMI Values
  • Below 18.5 -- Underweight
  • 18.5-24.9 -- Normal Weight
  • 25-29.9 -- Overweight
  • 30-39.9 -- Obese
  • Above 39.9 -- Morbidly Obese

Here is the webpage that I am using to track my BMI: Body Mass Index I will be keeping track of my progress here on this page, and I hope that you will check in every now and then and keep me honest! :o)

As part of my recommittment to WW, I have come up with the following rules for myself:
1) What main goal would you like to achieve for yourself by Sept 4th/Labor Day?
As I have a wedding to be in one month after Labor Day, I would like to lose an average of 1.5 pounds per week, or 15 pounds minimum.
2) What are the ways (up to 5) that you are going to help yourself achieve this goal?
a) journal absolutely everything that I consume, even the zero point things;
b) continue to eat at least 5 fruits & veggies per day;
c) increase my exercise
d) maintain my positive attitude
e) ask for help (either on the phone or the computer) when I feel my resolve weakening.
