Cynthia, the daughter of the former Royal Mage of King Valhis and a silver dragon, has lived a charmed life. While not quite in the royal court, she grew up close enought to have a taste for the finer things in life and attended the prestigeous Tibethel Magical Academy. She was suspended for a fight where she beat an elfmaiden within an inch of her life, and was eventually expelled for cheating on her religon exam. While her parents were disappointed in her lack of scholastic aptitude, she ha made up for it in her dedication to helping he mother's magic business.
Her parents were arrested for treason by King Valhis, and executed personnally by him as a warning to others. She watched to spectacle with her friend, the wizard/shopkeeper Girradas, who prevented her from charging in and getting herself killed along with them. She spent the next week feeling sorry for herself, terrified at mortality, and plotting revenge against the King and Hois, the ogre mage who took her father's place. It was at this time that she met Iasiel, a smooth talking little demon who offered her a chance at immortality for a terrible price. Iasiel turned her into an enslaved soul, and assited her in killing the ogre Mage Hois and reclaiming her home, and promising the opportunity to get her vengence on King Valhis himself.
Cynthia carries the tower of high sorcery, which is a gigantic version of a Daern's instant fortress, in her purse.
