An Intensely Clever Lifehouse Fan Page

you are here: index>>lifehouse

Although the web address may suggest that this page is all about my house with its realm of dead grass for a lawn, it's not. I lied. It's my Lifehouse fan page. Heehee.

(this page address is www.angelfire.com/wizard/lobstercrusader/welcometomyhouse.html, in case you weren't paying attention and didn't understand the joke)

Do I really need to describe the group to you? If you wanted that, you'd go to a fan site such as the official site, am I correct? So if you're looking for a biography, you won't find it here. If you're looking for pictures, yeah, you'll probably find a few here (especially if those pictures happen to be of Jason Wade...heh).

Okay, as I'm looking at this picture, it's fuzzy. I wonder why...

This would be Jason Wade. Lead singer. Guitar player. Nice hair. You get the idea. Did you know that he writes the group's songs? You've got to respect someone that can actually use big words...correctly...and make them sound good with music. Hail to the smarties (especially the ones with such nice hair...hmmm...)!

Currently, Lifehouse has two CD's released: their debut album No Name Face and their latest album Stanley Climbfall. Both very good, in my opinion. Thoughtful lyrics, heavy on the guitar, some nice cello parts, and perhaps most refreshing of all...not a swear/suggestive phrase to be found. Knock on wood. ;)

You may know that the group has been through a few personnel changes. I'm talking bandmates, by the way. To see who, you probably need to tour the fan sites again...try doing a Google search to find out all the info you seek. I don't tour fan sites too often...takes too long. I'm really very impatient. ;)

Hey, this one's fuzzy, too! :P

Perhaps you've heard Lifehouse's breakout hit, Hanging by a Moment. Actually, it's very unlikely that you haven't. It was played pretty much every five minutes. Not that you hear me complaining. But many of their other songs didn't get the air time that they deserved, in my opinion. Of course, this is coming from a person who rarely listens to the radio. So don't go by my words. Not that you would.

From the first album, if you enjoy romantic songs, I recommend Breathing (that would be a funny sentence without the italics...). If semi-depressing is more up your alley, Sick Cycle Carousel was also very good. Er, perhaps semi-depressing isn't a fair assessment though. My personal favorite, however, was Unknown.

From the second album, you can't go wrong with Spin and Wash (heehee...like a washing machine...). My personal favorite on that album is The Beginning (aka the only truly slow song on the entire CD). It's also my favorite Lifehouse song period.

I had to choose a theme song for myself in my CP Writing class. Guess what I chose? Go on, guess! It was Trying by Lifehouse (well, of course, that's why it's here!). Listen to the lyrics closely, and maybe you'll see what I saw in it; or rather, hear what I heard.

I'll just interject this right here...if you want to watch their videos/listen to their songs, you can probably do it at rollingstone.com. I can't get it to work on my low-tech constantly crashing computer, but you're welcome to give it a try.

Or you could do it the non-techie way and just sit in your room and turn on your CD-player. Like me. Ah, the low-tech life...nothing to scoff at, mind you.

I know you must have noticed all the pictures on this page. I have more, but obviously this page would go on forever if I put them here. So if you'd like to see more Lifehouse photos that I've collected around the Internet, feel free to view my Lifehouse Gallery.
