The Man The Myth The Legend Jordi!

Jordi Vilasuso entered into this world on June 15, 1981 when his father who
was doing his OB/GYN residency, actually delivered him! He spent his formative
years soaking up the sun in Coral Gables, Florida, a suburb of Miami, where
he lived with his mother Ana, his father Frank, an anesthesiologist who opened
up his own pain management clinic, his older brother Javier, and his younger
sister Marianne.
Jordi's first foray into acting came during the sixth grade when despite having
no acting or singing experience, he auditioned for and won the lead part in
his school play, Pete's Little Luncheonette of Horrors, a takeoff on Little
Shop of Horrors. Soon he realized an interest in acting, and pleaded with his
parents to support his new interest. Though skeptical that it was just a phase,
they took him to agencies and soon he began landing commercials. Didja know
that Jordi did a laundry detergent commercial in which he appeared as a child
with tomato sauce all over his shirt? As his talent started to show, his commitment
to acting strengthened, and film and television roles began to come his way.
His first big break came in 1996 when he landed his first film role in The Last
Home Run, playing a young little leaguer with a chip on his shoulder. Other
film and television roles followed, including an appearance on the USA Network's
Arrest and Trial, in which his father actually was chosen to play his father
on the show. However, his most notable role to date is also his current one
as mobster in training Tony Santos on the longest running show in television
history, Guiding Light.
Not only does Jordi put in a full schedule of taping at GL, but he also is continuing
his education by going to school to pursue a degree in liberal arts. Quite the
renaissance man, huh?
