Riddim Shower Sound System:
originally founded in the summer of 1999 when four reggae lovers had an opportunity to purchase the sound system owned by Tradition from Nottingham, England. A dream cherished for years became reality. Together, the collection of the members span over 40 years of Jamaican music so any type of Jamaican music from early ska to nowadays ragga can and will be selected, depending on the occasion. So whether it's an old ska party, a roots show with the most obscure reggae you've ever heard or a ragga night with the hottest music of today, Riddim Shower can provide the perfect selection. For many years the respective members have been playing their favourite music on several radio stations and in various clubs mostly in and around Amsterdam. For eight years, until the collapse of the radio station, two members of the team hosted the popular "Roots op vrijdag, Reggae voor het weekend" show on Radio Patapoe in Amsterdam. All members have been (guest) hosts on the "Riddim on the wire" radio show on the cable in Amsterdam. 
Riddim Shower held sessions at community centres and clubs like OCCI, Winston, Roothaanhuis and Volta in Amsterdam. At the two main concert venues, Paradiso and Melkweg, apart from doing sessions on their own or with other sound systems, Riddim Shower supported many stage shows. These include shows by international reggae stars like Israel Vibration, Black Uhuru, Ziggy Marley, Culture, Gregory Isaacs, Lucky Dube, Lee Perry and Shaggy; foundation artists like Toots and the Maytals, The Abbysinians and U Roy; contemporary reggae singers like Luciano, Bushman, Beres Hammond, Cocoa Tea, Don Carlos, Junior Kelly, Tony Rebel and Glen Washington; and dancehall acts like Sizzla, Mr.Vegas, Beenieman, Buju Banton, Anthony B, TOK, Ward 21, Buccaneer, Red Rat and Sean Paul. Too many too mention. Indoors venues are great, but a good sound system really needs the open air to reach it's full potential. Nothing is sweeter than a nice reggae street party.

Riddim Shower: www.riddimshower.com Riddim Shower has held street dances on Queens day Free market in Amsterdam, On the Beach near Bloemendaal and on some illegal raves. The best street dance so far was Kwakoe 2003(Amsterdam ZO).
