Seeking Vocalists for Harmony-Driven Collaboration

I am a female vocalist seeking other vocalists (male or female) to form an exceptional, tight, harmony-driven group to perform locally. Backing musicians TBD - just looking for vocals to start. Something low-key, timewise - ideally, practice once a week and gig once a month. I am open to possibilities as they arise! But mostly just want to sing for the love of it. (Though I want to sound really good while doing it.)

Mostly covers, unless you are an extremely talented songwriter, in which case you are probably pursuing something more aggressive than this anyway. With creative arrangements we could make the songs our own. I have a hard time categorizing my musical taste, which runs from the Grateful Dead to Steely Dan, Frank Zappa to John Denver, Americana to disco - but my collection houses more old music than new, and I love anything with great harmonies. Click here for a list of possible songs - your suggestions welcome. (Please be open-minded - Purple Rain could kick ass if we did it right...)

You should have:

Ability to play other instruments a plus.

I am a classically trained pianist who would rather sing. I spent 2 years singing/playing keys in a band in Georgia and occasionally perform locally with The Pine Box Boys, but I've never really been involved in the production/technical/promotional aspects, so your interest, guidance or expertise in this area would be helpful! I would describe myself as fun, friendly, irreverent, a nice person, more comfortable on the sidelines than in the spotlight, and not a drama queen, and I'm looking for the same, in the 30-40-ish age range. I live in the Upper Haight.

Here are a couple mp3s if you want to take a listen:
