The Allisha's Errant

1) Main Deck: The top deck of the Allisha’s Errant is a wooden planked deck, sturdy and well maintained. The main mast dominates the deck. Located near the center of the ship is a mast almost 5 ft. in diameter and nearly 30 ft. tall, the main sail billows from the yard arms, driving the ship forward. To the front of the ship is a smaller mast with a second smaller sail. This is the fore mast and stands less than 20 ft. tall. A large cargo hatch is situated in the middle of the ship. The hold is covered by a wooden an iron hatch that is clamped and tied secured. These break into four sections; it takes several men to move each section. A large ballista is mounted to the front of the ship.
2) Aft Deck: A raised section to the rear of the ship holds the steerage, wheel, and two small ballista. This section is 4-½ feet above the main deck. To each side are steps leading from the main deck to the aft deck. To the center of the aft deck are steps descending below deck.
3) Galley: After you descend below deck you turn and descend a few more steps to find yourself in the galley. This is the common crew section. A large table and two smaller tables are secured to the floor for meals and meeting over. To one side is a cook stove and provision storage area. The main mast drops through the deck and on down to the cargo hold. This dominates the fore end of the galley. Two double sets of hammocks hang forward of the galley as well. The cabin boy and ships cook use these to sleep. Below the steps descending from the main deck is a second set of steps to access the cargo deck.
4) Captains Quarters: This private quarter is for the captain. It contains a bed, desk, locked chest and cabinets. The captain keeps ships journals, maps, and some treasure here.
5) First Mates Quarters: A smaller quarter for the first mate. It contains a built in bed, small desk, locked chest and cabinet.
6) Cargo Hatch: This open area is left for access to the cargo hold below. The distance from the deck to the cargo hold floor is 14 ft.
7) Forward Quarters: This is the main sleeping quarters for most of the crew. It is low, only about 6 feet in height, and has from 6 to 12 hammocks hung within. It can sleep an equal number of crew or passengers. A ladder leads from the main deck and a trap door opens to a ladder leading to the fore quarters below.
8) Fore Quarters: This is a cramped space to the front of the ship. It can only be accessed through the forward quarters. Only about 4 feet in height it has 6 hammocks hung here for additional sleeping quarters if needed.
9) Aft Quarters: A compartment some what more comfortable than the fore quarters. This has some mechanics for the rudder and steerage. Height is only 5’6” so taller individuals must stoop. It can be used for multiple needs including extra cargo or passengers. It will be offered to the party for the trip. It has four double-stacked hammocks. There is a sturdy, locked door allowing access to the cargo hold. This door is only about 4-½ ft tall.
10) Cargo Hold: The main cargo area of the ship. For this trip it is only lightly filled with cargo. The aft area of the cargo hold, below the galley, is only 5’ high but the area below the hatch is 14 ft in height.
