Aftermath is a role-playing game played over the internet using OpenRPG. It uses the GURPS rules.
Characters will be created using GURPS basic rules. PC’s will be 125-point characters to start. If you do not have the rules and would like to learn GURPS for free, Steve Jackson Games publishes GURPS Lite, a scaled down basic set of rules. These are just fine for creating and playing a character in this game. Download GURPS Lite here.
Eventually I hope to add mutations to the PCs but for now these are not available.
For character creation you may use these supplements- GURPS basic set 3rd edition, Compendium 1, and GURPS lite.
You can create any background you want for the PC. If you would like some inspiration check out the ‘people’ section on this website. These are intended as NPCs but some may be suitable for PCs.
I like the fact that GURPS does not use artificial alignments for characters but all PCs should be basically good.
You can download a good character sheet from the GURPS website. I also recommend an ORPG node character sheet. Get one here.
