In the early 21st century, terrorism took a dramatic increase worldwide. Major countries started a “War on Terror” that slowly escalated during the first 10 years of the century. As weapons of mass destruction became more available they made their way into the hands of these terrorists. Soon chemical, biological, and radiological weapons were being employed against targets throughout the world. The threat of the use of nuclear weapons grew as more and more countries produced them. It was only a mater of time before the terrorists employed nuclear weapons.

Initially this war had well defined allies, but as accusations increased of more and more countries being sponsors of terrorism, alliances began to break down as the targets switched from country to country and location-to-location. It was not unusual for countries that were allies in one theatre of operation to be enemies in another. Eventually nuclear weapons were employed against several countries. This rapidly escalated to the use of tactical nuclear weapons on the battlefield, and then limited strategic weapons. By now almost all infrastructure throughout the world had collapsed, as well as many governments. The final blow came in the spring, nearly 10 years after the start of the conflicts. What exactly happened is not clear. It seems a still well organized group seized control of nuclear weapons in many countries. At a set date and time there was a significant exchange of nuclear weapons. This triggered any remaining weapon sites that were still functioning to launch there weapons too. This became known as the ‘end game,’ and it broke the back of any remaining infrastructure or governments. Some people still lived but if they were to survive they were on their own.

It is now 30 years since this final world war and its ‘end game’ devastated the world. People survived throughout the world. But biological weapons now mutating wildly ravaged the world. Chemical toxins still remained in great concentrations along with dangerous levels of radiation. Nature changed forever. Temperatures and moisture levels increased worldwide, plants and animals began to mutate in order to adapt to the new environment. Savage storms and deadly radiation and chemical storms blow in without warning. This is the Aftermath.
