Bruny View Eclipse- Multiple Champion Stud Male
A champion in his own right, Eclipse is now a working stud male and is producing superb quality white and fawn cria exhibiting the same exceptional fleece quality that earned him so many ribbons during his show career. Eclipse is tending to throw towards the colour of the dam, but lightening to the nearest fawn or white. We look forward to seeing how his first cria go in the October 08 show season.
Due to Eclipse being closely related to a large percentage of our breeding females, We are still sourcing external stud males to cover females, however, after an extensive search, we have recently had the opportunity to obtain a young stud male carrying unique genetics to take us to the next level of our breeding program and allowing us to retain our best females in Tasmania whilst still using the best possible genetics, not otherwise available.
GIGOLO is now residing in Tasmania and we anticipate him being ready to cover his first females during the coming 08/09 season.
Gigolo brings together genetics of Prestige Valentino, Purrumbete El Dorado, Purrumbete Ledgers Dream and Cedar House Peruvian Ayaviri into one animal exhibiting a softness of handle we have not seen a long time in adults. His Sire, Valentino, needs no introduction- being the sire of some of one Australia's most renowned ribbon winners. His Dam is a superfine daughter of Purrumbete El Dorado and is an ideal example of coloured Huacaya that does not need to sacrifice fineness.
Gigolo will be retained in-house for the upcoming season as we concentrate on enhancing our own breeding line.
***NEWS FLASH***
Since establishment, Bruny View Alpaca Stud has been establishing a specialised stable of breeding females to carry us into the next decade. As such, we have never released any females to other studs- until now.
During the 08/09 financial year, we will be releasing a small number of breeding females from our stables, all of whom are either Bruny View born and bred or have produced Bruny View stable quality offspring. The selection of females offered represents a small sample of what we have on site including white, fawn and black females, all of whom will be sold pregnant to either Bruny View Eclipse or Gigolo.

1) Bruny View Society Princess
Sire: Blue Grass Snow Bear, Dam: Cartrefelee Callista
A young solid black female, Princess has had a very successful show career, earning 1st place in class at most shows attended. Princess exhibits an extremely dense, warm black fleece with superb coverage throughout. We have joined Princess to a solid black sire- Longueville Park Bosun's Mate- to add in superior softness of handle and crimp, whilst retaining stunning colour and coverage.
2) Terrabarb Tansy
Sire: Pinaroo Farm Ghost Rider, Dam: Purrumbete Heather Belle
Tansy is a fine fleeced, solid white female who was purchased to obtain genetics of Ghost Rider and to increase our number of white animals at Bruny View. Tansy has now produced a solid white female- Society Neleha- who has joined the Bruny View female stable, allowing us to release Tansy and allow other to obtain superior genetics. Tansy has been joined to Bruny View Eclipse to enhance her fineness with improved fleece structure. If Eclipse' other cria are anything to go by, Tansy's next cria will be something quite special.
3) Bruny View Senita
Sire: Pinaroo Farm Ghost Rider, Dam: Bruny View Acuaria
Senita is a gorgeous young fawn female from our 06/07 cria drop at Bruny View. Senita has had a very successful show career to date with multiple first and second class placings. We are offering Senita on the basis that she will be joined to Bruny View Eclipse in Spring. If you're looking for superb colour genetics, you can't go past Senita, with white, fawn, black and grey throughout her bloodlines, this little girl is set to produce some truly stunning coloured cria.
4) Bruny View Acuaria
Sire: Cartrefelee Trippa, Dam: Cartrefelee Callista
They don't get much better than this for colour!
Acuaria carries genetics no longer available anywhere, with her sire Trippa (RG/R) no longer working, and her dam Callista, being retained by Bruny View stud as the matriarch of our female stable. A rare, true blue black; Acua has consistently produced superb progeny, who have all been successful in the show ring. Acua will be joined to Gigolo in Spring which should add improved crimp and structure, not to mention genetics!
5) Bruny View Lucky
Sire: Pinaroo Farm Ghost Rider, Dam: Cartrefelee Callista
Lucky by name and lucky by nature- talk about cheeky all the way!
Lucky was born and bred by Bruny View, using proven stud sire Ghost Rider to increase fineness and handle in Callista's progeny. We have had incredible success in using Ghost Rider over a number of girls, with every cria having considerable improvement in fleece quality compared to their dam. Lucky is no exception to this rule. Lucky will be joined to Bruny View Eclipse in spring to encourage improved fleece stapling and coverage, whilst retaining colour.
6) Bruny View Mosaica
Sire: Halcyon USA Network, Dam: Cartrefelee Callista
What a surprise we got when this darling was born.
Close inspection has revealed that this girl has no less than 6 different colours throughout her fleece, including white, light fawn, med fawn, dark fawn, brown, grey and even black!
Mosaica is truly one of a kind and has truly got the most stunning nature we have ever seen. Superfine fleece and exceptional coverage throughout, Mo has also put this into her cria, having produced a gorgeous little solid dark fawn male last year. Her first cria, Marron, has now been sold as a pet male as we will not certify male offspring of multi females, in accordance with our breeding plan. Mosaica will only be offered for sale under very specific conditions.
