Book Me is a book club on television and on the internet that features current books of interest to teenagers and young adults. Book Me will bring actors, hip hop artists, pro atheletes, teachers, librarians, and parents together with young viewers to discuss their favorite books. The television program will feature book readings, dramatizations of passages from various books, a meet the author segment, and book of the month selections among other things.
Literacy among today's youth is a major issue today. Book Me will attempt to address the literacy issue through a positive use of the television medium along with those individuals revered by today's youngsters.
Book Me will be produced by Philip and Tanya Hart of Hart Communications. Philip Hart is an award-winning author of books for young readers as well as a film and television producer. Tanya Hart is an award-winning producer and talent for television and film including programming for children and teenagers. The Hart's company currently has two syndicated radio programs, 'Hart Moments' and 'Hollywood live with Tanya Hart' which reach 25 million listners daily on over 400 stations nationwide.
