Chuck & Jeannie Otto are General Managers of this web site. Chuck is 60 plus - Jeannie isn't telling! Chuck was born and raised in Nebraska and migrated to Oregon. Jeannie was born and raised in Wisconsin and also migrated to Oregon, where the two met and married 40 years ago.
We've seen most of the U.S. in our travels, as well as a bit of Cuba. We're both bi-lingual (Spanish/English), and both have enjoyed computer hobbies for many years. Together, we worked on the production of Duane Goldsworthy's Palace Hotel computer bulletin board service (BBS) many years ago, and more recently developed and produced the Portage Palace BBS. The Palace is our first joint web site project.
Chuck enjoys shooting sports, electronics, reading - especially sci-fi - and writing. He currently works for a government agency (federal) and travels extensively in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Jeannie is a poet, a musician and a crafter. She enjoys web page development, and manages two poetry web sites - her own and one for a friend in Canada. Both are featured in our Palace Library.
We have two sons, Ray and Jim, both with their own families, and both with their own family pages in The Palace. You can see a photo of grand-daughter Ruthie, daughter of Jim and his wife Karen, at the Palace Gate.
The kids are both grown and gone, with their own lives and their own families - and their own web pages! Instead of two rowdy boys, we now share our home with two rowdy canines (dogs, that is!) - King, a mostly white German Shepherd, and Duke, a mostly spotted Damlation. Of course, we also frequently host grand-daughter Ruthie.
Jeannie has two sisters, Marybeth (Mb), the older sister, who lives with her husband, Rich, in Oregon (the state, not the city), and Marci (aka Marcia), the younger sister, who lives with her husband, Tom, in Washington. We have pages for each of them.
Because they're important to us as extended family, we also have pages for our long-time friends Rocky & Carol Lawrence, Rocky's daughter - our God-daughter - Jenny, and Carol's daughter, Kim.
