Serving our Community and the World in grateful emulation of Duane Goldsworthy's original Palace Hotel BBS, with a proud tradition of community service through the Portage Palace BBS. We can find no higher standards, no finer example, no greater goals. We offer our Guests a web site reflecting Christian Family Values, a safe place for parents and kids to enjoy the InterNet experience, and a place for motivated citizens to get involved in important issues.

Welcome to our Palace. We're jumping with joy to have you as our Guest! As you can see from my attire, we pawned everything to finance it. So come on in and take a look around. We've put together some fun and useful stuff, and if there's something you'd like to see that's not there - or something there that you wish we'd change - just send us a note and we'll take it under consideration.

All we ask of our Guests is that they obey the House Rules and help keep us out of trouble. In return, we'll work hard to make our Palace a better place to visit. And, HEY! It doesn't cost you a dime!

We put some important stuff right here at the Palace Gate so if you're in a hurry you don't need to come in and poke around to find it. There's a lot more inside, and the Main Lobby menu will get you started once you're there. Please sign our guest book at the bottom of this page to let us know you've visited.

If pop-ups and banner ads bug you (There are an estimated 4-5 billion of them out there!), we recommend you update to the latest version of IE or get Firefox - it's FREE, it blocks popups, and we think it's the best alternative to Explorer. Originally made for Linux systems, Firefox is one of the best browsers available. We haven't yet made a list of Linux applications, but most - including OpenOffice, a really great alternative to MS Office Suite, are free.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: - We've acquired a dot-org web address and are in the process of building a new and bigger Palace. Guests interested in participating in this project should contact the Palace Manager. We'll give you access to the editor utilities for a selected portion of the site. The new Palace will have a more modern look & feel, and you won't need a working knowledge of HTML to build pages. We expect the move to the new location to take about a year, as we currently have over 300 pages.
