A Lovely Island in the Caribbean Sea



 

The average tempurature in Anguilla is the same for the whole year. It is 80 degrees fahrenheit (27 degrees celcius). There usually a light breeze at night, which makes the tempurature very comfortable for sleeping. The average rainfall per year is 14 inches (35 centimeters), so it is very dry. The rainy and windy season is in December, which is unfortunate because that is when most tourists go there for vacation.

Anguilla still isn't very "discovered" in tourism. There are a few luxury hotels on the island, but many of the main roads aren't even paved and until recently, most of them didn't have names. There is also a lot of trash everywhere on the island. The tourist board of Anguilla is trying to get people to take more pride in how their island looks and to not throw their trash on the ground.This discourages some tourists who aren't staying at one of the luxury hotels, but it gives the island some character. Anguilla's lovely beaches make up for the roads and the trash. It is only a matter of time before the island really gets "discovered."
