In 1993 at the age of 19,
Eliza won the role of Cheryl Stark's youngest daughter, Danni, in
long-running Australian soap, Neighbours. She stayed on the show for three
years, upon which she left and moved to Los Angeles, attending acting
classes and auditioning for new roles. A minor part in a first season
episode of hit TV show, Angel, followed. However she was soon to return to
Australia when she was offered her feature-film debut in cult comedy, The
Dish.
Eliza remained in
Australia, guest-starring in Ponderosa (the prequel to classic western
Bonanza) and The Secret Life Of Us in 2001. In 2002, there were a couple of
short films she was involved in which courted the festival circuit. Then in
2003 came the recurring role of Leo Flynn's sister, Rene, in acclaimed
police drama, Stingers. Four episodes have featured her so far, we can only
hope there will be more as the series progresses. |
