A bit about Coach Recob:

I love running! I also like working with young adults. As far as running goes, I now run simply for pleasure & not so much for competition (you'll see my competitive edge moreso as a coach). In the past year I have competed in two marathon relays (Lakefront ~ Milwaukee & the Mad City marathon). In both I had a blast & we came in 3rd. In Milwaukee I ran the last 6.2 and in Madison I ran the first 6. Actually placing was just icing on the cake - I ran with some great people! Other than that, I've done some runs for causes (Race for the Cure, the Turkey Trot for Thursday's Child, Jingle Bell Run, etc.)

My family, which consists of my husband Jason, daughter Gabriella (7), and son Drake (2), keeps me pretty busy, but I still find time to run a few times a week (even if that running is chasing after Drake!)

As far as working with young adults, I teach 7th and 8th grade language arts and coach middle school track (a great way to recruit!) I have a degree in Speech and English for grades 6-12.

I am really enjoying coaching cross country! I am able to focus a lot more on individual athletes than I'm able to at the middle school level (1:20 vs. 1:40). The beauty of cross country is that regardless of talent, each individual in an integral part of our team! The spirit in this sport is such that if one brick on our wall is missing, we'll all feel it, whether that brick was on top or way at the bottom. EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU IS NEEDED!
