In act of free speech, protesters
defy their Americanism

So I never meant for my rants to be a political stance.  Wait, yes I did.  At least somewhat.  I believe in the freedom of speech, so yes, I will voice my opinion; however, I will not make you listen to it unless you want to.

Over the past weeks, several things that should not have happened have.  Professors have cancelled class due to their support for an anti-war protest.  Professors have used their classroom time to lecture on a tangent about their views of the impeeding war with Iraq.  Even back in 2000, I had a professor who used the better part of half a class period telling us how we should vote democratic in the election between President Bush and challenger Gore.  She wasted my time, and I was not very happy about it.  I got up and left class.  I know others followed me.  Did I give her a bad review at the end of the semester?  You can bet I did.  I go to class to learn about the topic that I took the class for.  I signed up for Management in the Modern Day not my professors views on an election.  Do not make me listen because I won't.  If you want to hold a discussion, do so after class, not before.  I did not pay for this, so stop wasting my money.

On that token, I have to highly praise Matt Modell, a student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  His article in the March 6, 2003 edition of the Badger Herald.  The article can be found at the Badger Herald's website or via this copy incase the web link comes down.  Read it.  Think critcally.  If we don't think critically, we will all be robots in this world.  Robots are not good.  They allow the far left to take over and make this world a worse place.
