Eric's Trip Through India

I've been fortunate to do a fair bit of international travel in my lifetime. At the young age of 23 my first steps on foreign soil were in wholesome Norway. Later, I got to see places like Romania, Turkey and Vietnam. Each new experience was a little more demanding than the last, and the more comfortable I became in these diverse countries, the more I craved a greater contrast from my own experience. India, I believed, would be the pinacle of travel. The history, the culture, the food, the architecture... I imagined it couldn't get any better! So, for four weeks during November and December of 2002 I ventured across India to take in a tiny fraction of what the country has to offer. Here is a recap of my journey (view a map of India below.)

Basically, I arrived in Mumbai (Bombay) and travelled east across the northern half of the subcontinent, then flew back to Mumbai before returning home.
