Queen Anne's War
(1702-1713)

Also knows as the War of Spanish Succession, Queen Anne's War was the scene of bloody battles on the Frontier, including the French and Indian raid on Deerfield, Massachusetts (Parkman 1). This war included another failed attempt for the British to capture Quebec, when they tried to capture it through their Navy. Port Royal and Acadia would fall to New England expeditions led by Francis Nicholson and would be confirmed, with New Foundland and fur-trading posts on the Hudson, in the Peace of Utrecht (Parkman 1).
