SelectExtra GN 360C is ready to depart Lichfield.

 

Select Extra GN 360C is heading East on the Eastbound Main Heading towards Dalton.

 

Select Looking at Wakefield's Grain Elevators. This picture was taking before the earthquake the closed the tunnel. The mains now go in front of the elevator.

 

Select Near wakefield, You can see how the mains use to go off to the left. the Mains now continue straight for a few more miles towards the new rightaway.

 

Select These are three houses on the outskirts of Wakefield.

 

Select This is the town of Dalton. Dalton is the interchange point of the Main Lines to the Branchline. Here we see an extra GN freight heading west over the diamonds.

 

Select Dalton also has a refer icing station.

 

Select Here ia another westbound extra GN freight, he is just east of dalton. The set of tracks going over the brigde is the branchline.

 

Select Here is the old roundhouse at Bakersfield. The roundhouse was torn down about ten years ago. Now it's place is a oil refinery and an automobile transfer site.

 

Select At one time the sanding racks were in the yard area. When the Railroad was reorginizing Bakersfield the sanding racks were moved by the fueling racks by the Engien House and Car Shop.

Select Here we se a High Speed Streamliner speeding thru the tunel.
