My Valentines Day Proposal 2003

AHH!! Where to begin? Can I just say that I really thought before that I was truly blessed by being married to Jim. But now, after this past valentines day, I am convinced that I am loved beyond what any woman can comprehend. I feel so cherished it is beyond words. So I will just tell you about my surprise.
I knew my husband was very busily planning something for valentines day. I did not know if it was a gift or an outing or what. So this was all to take place on saturday the 15th. I was waiting for Jim to come and pick me up at 12 noon. But instead of him a big white Limo pulled up. The driver said she was instructed to pick me up and then proceed to my parents house and pick them up. While we were on the way my cell phone rings and it is my husband and he says "now that you are in the limo you have to find me!! I love you , Bye" So needless to say I hung up and was clueless. We got to my parents and they got in and handed me a clue. Which I had to figure out in order to get to the next stop. Which I did figure out was my sisters house. So we went and picked her up and she handed me a clue.I was starting to get the idea, that I had to solve one clue after another until I found my husband. Also with each clue was a card and a small gift. And on each clue there was a letter. So that when all the clues are put together they would spell something out for me to read. So each clue lead us to many small and large businesses all over the city of Madison, Wisconsin and I was to go in and ask for the next clue. This was very embarrassing, especially if I got the clue wrong and was at the wrong business!! So finally at the end of all the clues, they spelled out "Will you remarry me?" and then my last set of instructions was to proceed to the Capitol Building and have the Limo pull up in front of the main set of stairs that leads up to the front of the capitol. So we did and up at the top of the stairs in the freezing cold was my husband Jim kneeling on his knees waiting for me to find him. I walked up to the top of the stairs and he proposed to me and I said "YES!!" We then laughed and kissed and walked down the stairs to the Limo. And then we all went out to Dinner at Carlos O' Kelleys, our favorite mexican restuarant. Where my husband bought dinner for the whole family including the Limo driver. It was so wonderful. After we dropped everyone off at their houses in the Limo, we proceeded to have the Limo take us to our Hotel for the night. To top the night off we got a Jacuzzi Suite at the Wingate Inn. This was like a fairy tale experience. Nothing I could have imagined or dreamed would have even compared to this. I am truly blessed with the most wonderful husband in the world!! Thank you for letting me share this experience with you all. We have set the date and it is for January 2nd, 2004. This is exactly the 6 month mark in between our yearly anniversary of July 2nd, 1996. When we got married we had a very small but sweet wedding. But his family and some of my family were unable to be there. We are wanting this wedding to be bigger and have everybody there. So as we plan I will post it on here and will be including pictures as well of everything in the planning and process!!!!

Here is a Pix of the Limo we were in!!
